The Mustique community and the UWI Global Campus St Vincent and the Grenadines Guild of Students are mourning the death of Kendra Thomas, a member of the BSc Management Studies graduating class of 2026, who was reportedly found dead in her room in Mustique on Thursday, September 10.
Information received by One News indicates that Thomas had recently travelled to mainland St Vincent before returning to Mustique, where she was employed. Reports suggest that she had been unwell before her death.
Police have confirmed the incident. However, no official details surrounding the circumstances of her death have been released, and no cause of death has been disclosed at this time.
In a statement shared on social media, the UWI Global Campus SVG Guild of Students expressed its condolences to Thomas’ family and friends.
“The UWI Global Campus SVG Guild of Students would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of our fellow Pelican, Kendra Thomas,” the Guild said.
The Guild described Thomas as “an amazing and intelligent woman” and noted that she was a member of the graduating class of 2026.
“May she rest in peace,” the statement concluded.
News of Thomas’ passing has prompted an outpouring of sympathy from classmates, friends and members of the wider community, particularly in Mustique, where she lived and worked.
