Local Vehicle-rental company 784 Motors has been recognised at the latest tourism awards in St Vincent and the Grenadines, with the company saying the award reflects its continued commitment to regulatory compliance and customer service.
Ifoma “Efu” Sergeant said the recognition highlights the company’s efforts to meet the requirements governing the vehicle-rental industry, including licensing, registration, insurance and vehicle safety.
He said compliance is an ongoing responsibility, requiring the company to keep pace with regulations while ensuring its vehicles remain safe, comfortable and suitable for customers.
Sergeant said 784 Motors is now looking to modernise its fleet and improve its online booking system as part of plans to enhance the customer experience.
The company intends to transition to newer vehicles and strengthen its website, http://www.784Motors.com to make bookings more convenient for both visitors and residents.
Sergeant also expressed hope that the relevant authorities would consider incentives to help businesses in the vehicle-rental sector accelerate investment in fleet upgrades.
He said the company has previously received industry recognition, including the 2018 AMP Award for Best Car Rentals.
784 Motors was legally registered with the Commerce and Intellectual Property Office in 2013, although Sergeant said the business began operating around 2015 or 2016.
He thanked the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority and the wider government for recognising the company’s efforts.
Sergeant said the latest award provides encouragement for 784 Motors to continue investing in its operations and improving the quality of its rental services.
784 Motors says its plans to modernise its fleet and improve online accessibility are part of its continued effort to provide professional vehicle-rental services under its tagline, “784Motors going your way!”
The annual tourism awards are organised through collaboration between the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Hotel and Tourism Association, and the Ministry of Tourism.
The awards recognise individuals, businesses and organisations for their contribution to the development of the country’s tourism industry.
