Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Seven sailors who arrived in the country on Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas have been confirmed as COVID-19 positive on PCR tests.
A release from the National Emergency Management Organization – NEMO, says that the seven newly recorded cases come following the receipt of 77 PCR results from the Caribbean Public Health Agency – CARPHA.
The new positive cases had all previously tested positive on rapid antibody tests, the release says.

Two hundred and ninety-two (292) results remain outstanding for the sailors.
Some 356 sailors arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas on May 26.
The seven newly recorded cases now bring to 25, the total number of COVID-19 cases for St. Vincent and the Grenadines but since 14 persons have recovered, there are only 11 active COVID-19 cases in the country.
