Canouan, The Grenadines (ONE NEWS SVG) – Some residents of Canouan are calling on authorities to address a longstanding situation where they say stray dogs have been destroying livestock and attacking people.
Activist, Terrance Bynoe, in a Facebook live today (September 1), showed where a flock of five sheep owned by a retired gentleman was viciously killed by dogs.
He says the attack is one of many.
Bynoe says the stray dogs attack school children, beach users, and persons who walk the streets of the grenadine island.
He says there are too many stray dogs on Canouan and the residents are calling on the authorities to address the matter urgently.
He says he hopes things don’t reach a point where a human loses his/her life to one of the vicious dog attacks before the authorities decide to step in.
Mr. Bynoe says no one claims the dogs after the vicious attacks happen.
