The 2020 Winners of America’s Most Musical Family – the Melisizwe Brothers excited hundreds of fans at their Gold Mind concert at Coconut Grove Beach Bar on Sunday.
At the event, the brothers, a Canadian-Vincentian trio – Mark, Seth and Zacary treated fans with a mixture of original songs and covers.
The concert also featured local acts such as Leah Barnabe who was part of intensive musical training under the Gold Mind Initiative.
According to an article published by NBC Radio on August 2, the brothers’ father, Mark James said the Gold Mind Initiative is a month-long program by the Melisizwe Brothers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 2022, and it is aimed at inspiring and equipping the nation’s young people to go after their dreams.
Several young people received musical instruments and vocal training under the program which began on August 6.
Several other events were also held including a camp and a concert on Union Island in the Southern Grenadines.
While performing on stage, the brothers said continued support would ensure they implement other programs that can assist with the further development of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
