Housing Minister checks up on residents in newly built communities

Minister responsible for housing – Orando Brewster visited new homeowners at Orange Hill recently to see how they were settling into their newly built communities.

Mr. Brewster visited the area where the first 21 houses were constructed at Orange Hill, through a donation by the Mustique Charitable Trust, as part of the Volcano Recovery Programme.

He also visited another lot where some pre-fabricated houses are being built.

Some of the residents said they have settled in well.

At the most recently commissioned lot, however, residents are still without paved roads and proper drainage.

Amidst those issues, the residents told the housing minister that they were grateful for the homes.
