The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) is preparing to celebrate its largest graduating class in recent years, with 961 students eligible to receive qualifications during its Annual Graduation Ceremony on 23 June 2026.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Independence Park and will bring together graduands, families, educators and members of the wider community to mark a significant milestone in the students’ academic and professional journeys.

According to information released by the College, the Class of 2026 comprises 961 eligible graduands from across its five academic divisions and centres. The largest contingent comes from the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, which accounts for 440 students. The Division of Technical and Vocational Education will graduate 349 students, while the Centre for General and Continuing Education has 82 eligible graduands.
The Division of Teacher Education will see 48 students graduating, and the Division of Nursing Education will contribute 42 graduates.
The total represents an increase of 58 eligible graduands when compared with 2025, when 903 students qualified for graduation.
This year’s ceremony will be held under the theme, “Tomorrow’s Leaders: Empowered Minds, Limitless Possibilities.” The theme highlights the role of education in equipping students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue opportunities and contribute to national development.
Delivering the feature address will be Dr Andrea K. Veira, a Vincentian scholar, crop scientist and educator. Dr Veira currently serves as a Lecturer at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and has more than 15 years of experience in agricultural development and education across the Caribbean. Her work focuses on agroecology, biodiversity and the integration of technology into education and agriculture.
The College said it looks forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 alongside their families, supporters and the wider Vincentian community.
Members of the public who are unable to attend in person will be able to follow the ceremony live via the SVGCC’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The graduation ceremony remains one of the most significant events on the College’s annual calendar, recognising the accomplishments of students who have completed programmes in academic, technical, vocational, teaching and nursing disciplines.
